Monza frame

Post by CHRIS P » Sat Nov 30, 2019 12:34 pm

Currently struggling to register my Monza so if anyone has for sale or comes across a Monza PE frame with V5c then I would appreciate a `heads up` to ease what is currently a difficult situation with the DVLA

Unfortunately I too have a PE frame without a V5. I will have a ask and see if anyone I know can help.
And it’s going free to anyone who wants to collect.

Have you approached the clubs dating officer? Also the VMCC have lots of resources for your problem, some very good when dealing with the DVLA.

Many thanks for the research CHRIS however I daren`t risk a foreign frame for fear of falling foul of DVLA again, also all these frames currently available seem to be PB (V50/2) which would then in the future make my bike appear to be a replica MONZA . This latter point is, for me, a step too far as I have restored this bike using only genuine Monza parts and it seems a shame that such a beautiful old bike may be lost because of beaurocracy.
It may be I have to play the long game and wait for a Monza frame and V5c to surface if the current problems cannot be resolved, but I am determined that my Monza will live again.

Tricky knowing exactly what is and what is not a Monza part as they were generally made alongside the standard V50 line and all parts are interchangable. I hear what you say about the DVLA though, they can be a pain in the neck.
