carb balancing connectors

Post by Ramonthebiker » Wed Apr 03, 2019 3:25 pm

Can anyone advise where I might find a suitable couple of connectors to screw into the air inlet ports and plug my gauge's tubing on to?
thanks, Ray

Have a look on “eurocarb”
https://www.dellorto.co.uk
They do tools and adaptors as well as parts. I bought a Carbtune kit and it comes with adaptors.

What is the thread diameter of the tapped holes in the manifolds and what is the ID of your tube?

I made mine - drilled some M6 screws down the middle on the pillar drill.

I made mine too. Drilled and tapped some round brass stock.

Good question! I will check - I see an M6 has been drilled and used so maybe I can do something similar...

Thanks Steve - I saw some adpators in the section that had compete inlet manifolds - lovely looking brass screw / spigot ended jobbies - I've emailed to ask if they do such items alone.

Hi,
You could drill some studding or bolts :o The brass adapters are available in 5 or 6mm. The hose just pushes over end and it has a hexagon to unscrew when it’s hot! You should screw them in with you fingers. Well worth it
