Red Kite Tickets and April/May Branch meets.

Post by Powys Paul » Tue Mar 05, 2019 6:42 pm

Red Kite IV happening on 20-22 September 2019.Lots of the usual and unusual activities for all the family and invited friends. We aim to give proceeds minus band/camp costs to Air Ambulance and St Michael's Hospice Riders and have a fun time too of course! There are a limited number of tickets which are are currently available at LAST YEAR'S EARLY BIRD PRICES! FURTHER INFO AND UPDATES @ redkite.wordpress.com.Otherwise,see John Dyer(Red Kite treasurer) at our meets on the third Sunday of each month. There will also be Red Kite application forms in the May/June issue of Gamabalunga.
Future meets will be held at various locations until winter.Arrival times 12/12.30ish
Note:Due to unforseen circumstances our spring, summer and autumn round robin meets were not included in Grumblemonger events diary. So, for forum readers:April's meet is at The Old Tintern station(Np16 7nk) on Sunday 21st at 12.30ish.Or, 11.30 for those interested in helping shape up Red Kite IV.The old Tintern station is in a beautiful setting with glorious approach roads for bikers. We called in there last month and it was closed!Locals told us it was opening for Easter.Apparently there is new management. So, let's hope the business retains it's quirky charm and tasty food.Great for for fellow Guzzi chums from South Wales,3 Counties, Bristol,Wiltshire,Pennine and everyone to be fair..This one has been one of our favourite spaces to play!So come on over the forecast is hot, hot, hot!
May's meet will be held at the Star Inn up in the hills above Llanidloes at Dylife,SY19 7BW.One of those high on the hill places for those who want a challenging ride with topographical views. There is a reasonable selection of food and young friendly staff. However, check out the veggie sausages as they were, on our last visit, definitely not veggie!Apparently, the evidence( Sausage boxes boxes) had been thrown away... :shock:Still,we felt,on balance, that the new management deserved a 2nd chance and to be objective- most people present were generally happy with the grub.
All for now,Go steady and enjoy sunshine time!Pauh
