2018 Guzzi club meetings update and Red Kite 3(SOLD OUT)

Postby Powys Paul » Sun Dec 31, 2017 8:58 am

Hello there John D- AND ANYONE ELSE WHO VISITS THE FORUM!Welcome aboard Steve!
Our last meet saw a decent turn out considering the time of year.Mike,Heinz,Jon,John D,Neal and myself.Yes,the first 3 names came on bikes, but whatever you arrive on- you will be welcome.
The Lion at Llanbister is our winter venue until March 2018.From April onwards we have chosen our ride out venues for the year.See Gambalunga diary for venues. Thanks to everyone who contributed and Jon for typing the proposed ideas up and sending them to 'Gambalunga'.Nice one Jon.So,why come along to the Lion in the winter months for meetings or when you are in the area come to think about it?It has good, spacious bike parking, friendly staff,home-made grub,a reasonable variety of refreshments and a natty heater too!The atmosphere is personal and the conversations can be stimulating- as well as diverse!
Branch meetings are always the third Sunday of the month, but members do meet sometimes to go for a bimble or meet up to go to club events.Arrive any time after 12 noon...Ring Jon Walter on 01639635 if our roving events clash with M.GC.G.B. events such as the summer camp and Guzzi festival etc
Our meetings are written up and sent to the Guzzi club magazine 'Gambalunga' more often then not!We are currently trying out a rota of people prepared to write up our branch meets-for better or worse...No pressure to anyone, as Mike and Julie are doing the March/April issue,Jon the May/June issue and me for the June/July issue. If anyone else wants to get involved do let us know.Form an orderly queue?!
Thanks to Jon Walter for writing up the Red Kite 2 report,(Not John Dyer -as misprinted in 'Gambalunga') John D for sending in the pics and doing the rather splendid ad for Red Kite3 for the forum as well as the new edition of 'Gambalunga'.
Tickets for Red Kite3 are sold out.Other news is that Heinz is choosing some unusual Saturday night entertainment.
Well, that's all for now John D and other readers.Happy rest of the year everyone

Come along to the next Borders &mid- Wales meeting at the Lion in Llanbister this coming Sunday(21st January)R.K.3 tickets will be available at Early bird rates- and no postage stamps required either!
The forecast is reasonable for this time of year and it promises to be a dry day.Plus, Garry is looking forward to seeing us all and will stoke the fire as well as offer home made food too.
See you there.
Cheers
Powys Paul.

The mobile Red Kite ticket office will be attending our lunchtime meeting in Llanbister on Sunday 21st Jan when I'll be ready to relieve you of the very reasonable price of a ticket or two. However, this will not interrupt the usual highbrow discussion or jovial banter. Motorcycles may be present but probably not of mine.

Hi Steve,
Could you please help get RK3 on the OPENING FORUM events page?I know RK3s not until September but.the early bird tickets will be withdrawn after March 25th so any publicity to ensure everyone has the chance of cheaper tickets would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Paul

Just back from RK3.
Missed the first two and had heard great things about the event. This year I only managed Saturday and Sunday.
RK3 lived up to and exceeded expectations.
Great venue in a grand part of the world. Top organisation and entertainment. Hungry Duck as good as ever. Reports from people who went on the ride outs were universally positive.
Well done, John, Paul, Heinz and the band of heroes for putting this together.
All the best
Steve
