Essex branch meeting - Braintree [95]

Postby Chris950s » Mon May 21, 2018 2:05 pm

The next meeting of the Essex branch will be on Sunday 17th June 2018 (8th Anniversary) King William IV, 114 London Road, Braintree, Essex CM77 7PU http://kingwilliamiv.co.uk/

This will be the branch's 8th Anniversary, unfortunately it clashes with Father's Day. All welcome

Well, I would argue that if there are any fathers who want to come then they can claim their right to do as they please on Father's Day. :D

essex branch meeting - Braintree [95]

Unfortunately I will be on grandparent duty that day, and he is too young to sit on the back of the bike yet. Not sure yet if I will even have a bike to ride as the Stelvio is going to Twiggers to have the cam followers sorted.

What a feeble excuse. He does not have to sit on a seat

You could fit a sidecar or perhaps a basket to the handlebars

It would be a hair raising experience

But seriously have fun with the grandchild and good luck with the repairs

Regards

Oh no, does this mean that I will be the sole representative of Non Guzzi riding Fat Bastards AGAIN.

This one is local enough to me I could probably cycle it in the time it would take to put on proper trousers and a hard hat. But I can do non Guzzi and corpulent if that is any help.

The "Fat Bastards" tag is the result of an observation made by Baldrick to Buzz and myself at a Branch meeting in the distant past.

Are you sure that was Baldrick? He's not normally so rude.

Just a fleeting visit yesterday as we had quite an adventure on the way up and we were all starving by the time we arrived. Good to see that The Cricketers ( next month’s meeting ) serves food.
I did have time to admire the fine assortment of bikes, from Steve’s ancient Nimbus to an impressive modern LeMans.

Hopefully the Green Dragon met your requirements OK – I know it can get quite busy there.

Was a pretty good turnout, though with various of us seemingly flitting in and out. Ammeter on the Swiftmobile (Nimbus) was all over the place on the way home so some more work needed there I think.

Awesome cakes from Mrs Properjob. Pics are up on the Club FB page.
