Just to let you know that from 14th March 2014 there will be regular monthly meets - second Friday from 7:30pm at The Beer Engine in Newton St Cyres EX5 5AX a few miles outside Exeter, just off the A377 Crediton road.
In addition to that, a calendar of events for 2014 is now completed and for this year we will combine the majority of these events with the West Devon Branch, with possibly one or two East Devon specific ride outs.
March Sunday 30th - Season opener, a ride out to Budleigh Salterton via Wodbury Common.
Meet at The Star Inn Liverton 10:30 am leave at 11:00 stop off at Exeter Services car park J30 around 11:15 to link up with other Devon members.
April Saturday 19th - Bristol Auto Italia, join in and be part of the Guzzi display, a terrific day where there are lots of 2 and 4 wheel Italian exotica on display.
Meet Exeter Services car park J30 at 7:00 am depart 7:30 to arrive at Gordano Services in time for the parade into Bristol.
May Sunday 4th - May Day ride, a joint West Dorset and West Devon run, meet far end on Sidmouth promenade near Sidmouth Lifeboat Station at 10:00 am.
May Sunday 25th - A ride out into Cornwall to visit the Classic Aircraft Museum at St Mawgan near Newquay.The museum has a collection of historic working aircraft on display. Hopefully meet up with our Cornish Cousins for lunch. Meet Tamar Bridge car park 10:00 am leave 10:30.
June Sunday 29th - Devon run out, a ride up on the A386 to Bideford and North Devon, meet in Morrisons car park Tavistock at 10:30 am.
July Friday 11th, Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th - Devon â€˜Big Chillâ€™ a Branch camping weekend in The Dartmoor National Park. We will be using the campsite behind The Plume of Feathers an historical inn situated in Princetown which is located on the B3212 road between Yelverton and Two Bridges - the campsite has full facilities for campers, the rates are Â£6.95 pppn or Â£11.95 with breakfast. No tickets required simply turn up Friday when you wish and pitch up. The Inn serves traditional home cooked dishes at affordable prices, Princetown has various cafes and pubs while Tavistock is only a short ride away.
Princetown, at around 435 metres above sea level is the highest settlement on the moor which offers unprecedented views and various walks or trails to follow but the emphasis will be on a quiet, relaxing weekends camping, with a run out on the Saturday for those who want to discover the charms of Dartmoor and beyond.
August Sunday 3rd - Combined club meet and ride out around the South Hams. Meet 10:00 am at Dream Machine on the A379 between Modbury and Aveton Gifford
August Friday 22nd - Monday 25th MGCGB V-Twin Rally Fordingbridge Hampshire.
September Sunday 28th - Run out taking in Kingsbridge, Totnes, Poundsgate across Dartmoor to the Plume of Feathers in Princetown for lunch.
